Review and Swatches: Beauty Pop by Penshoppe LiteMatte Lipsticks

28 June 2019

Coming from yesterday's post about Beauty by Penshoppe HydraMatte Lipsticks, I hope you're still excited to see lipstick swatches because I have more for you! This time, I'm reviewing the Beauty by Penshoppe LiteMatte Lipsticks.

True to their goal of making Penshoppe a global brand, Beauty Pop by Penshoppe is headlined by two international supermodels, Romee Strijd and Lais Ribiero. Their first offering is a lipstick line with 18 shades in two matte finishes: HydraMatte and LiteMatte. Formulated in Japan, each sub-category boasts of shades ranging from nudes, pinks and mauves, plums and wines, and corals and reds. There is definitely something for everyone as all colorways are made to compliment every skin tone.

Beauty Pop by Penshoppe's LiteMatte Lipsticks are lightweight, long-wearing, and highly buildable. It also has a powder-like, blurring property.

Beauty Pop by Penshoppe HydraMatte Lipsticks
All Dolled Up | Next Move | Prim & Proper | Queen | Retro | Slay | Smack | So Extra | Wild Child
All Dolled Up - nude coral
Next Move - mauve
Prim & Proper - medium nude
Queen - blue-based red
Retro - brick red
Slay - chocolate brown
Smack - true red
So Extra - vibrant plum
Wild Child - electric coral
HydraMattes are said to be more moisturizing but I actually didn't feel a significant difference between those and these LiteMattes. If forced to choose, I would say I prefer these because the colors are bolder and brighter. As compared to HydraMattes, these didn't need several swipes as one or two is enough for maximum pigmentation. However, the darkest color in the bunch, Slay, also applied patchy.

My favorites from this line are Queen, Retro, and Wild Child, and my top favorite from both lines is Queen! I know the photos of the lip swatches are a bit bad because they were taken indoors under fluorescent lighting using my Huawei P20 Pro (I'm sorry, I was just too excited to share them with you!), so today I put on a peach-themed face with Queen and took photos by the window.

Nice, right? Such a pretty pop of color! It applied smoothly on my lips, no lip balm nor liner required, and it lasted even after lunch! Definitely worth more than its Php 219 price!

Have you gotten the chance to check Penshoppe Beauty Pop online or in stores yet? I suggest you do and make your beauty pop!
