I have always carried this little dream in my pocket, and with the encouragement of my close friends and my Love, I finally launched Krissyfied Makes to the world!
My dream is actually to start my own stationery brand, and while I am still saving up for the fancy machines I would need, I am starting with these curated pieces with the backing cards featuring my watercolor pieces.
My first collection is the Celestial Collection because I have always been in awe of the skies, and each piece is specifically named after popular names in astronomy.
I am so overwhelmed by all the love my friends displayed by retweeting and linking it to their other friends! I launched it on Instagram just yesterday and most of the pieces have already been sold out!
I hope you can check it out and let me know if there's anything you like and if it's sold out I can get more stocks.
Here's also hoping you can support my new baby and follow @krissyfiedmakes on Instagram. And while you're at it, shop for your friends and family and yourself, too?
Thank you for all that you do. I'm glad you're here.

What do you get when you cross two of the biggest names in the local beauty scene? A collaboration that's sure to revolutionize how we do our daily lewks!
I have been a huge fan of Ellana Cosmetics even before I even started blogging, I even used to be an Ellana Beauty Advocate and sold their products to my officemates! (I told an in-depth story here.) Meanwhile, Project Vanity remains one of my favorite beauty websites and I am continuously amazed at how its founder Liz has grown the site and even put up her own skincare brand. And now, Ellana and Project Vanity have teamed up and brought us the new Life-Proof Eyebrow Gel!
This package arrived yesterday and I was so excited I took a break from my never-ending to do list and put these to the test.
The Project Vanity x Ellana Cosmetics Life-Proof Eyebrow Gel is a revolutionary product that promises life-proof, last-all-day hold, in shades specifically suites to Southeast Asian skin and hair. Aside from being sweat-proof and water-proof, it is also infused with marula oil to encourage healthy hair growth. I am thrilled about this because some eyebrow products made my previously bushy eyebrows thinner and sparser.
The 4 gram-gel type pomade is housed in an acrylic jar with a matte metallic Project Vanity-pink cap. So chic and it's light enough to squeeze into your everyday makeup kit and tote anywhere!
The Project Vanity x Ellana Cosmetics Life-Proof Eyebrow Gel comes in three shades: Light Brown, Red Brown, and Dark Brown. You can even use two or more shades for natural brow shading! Here are the swatches:
On the left: brows without Life-Proof Eyebrow Gel On the right: brows with Life-Proof Eyebrow Gel in Light Brown |
What a difference tamed eyebrows makes!
Completed lewk. ♡
And because I wanted to test its claim of being life-proof, I put the back of my hand with the swatches under running water. True enough, it didn't budge!
So I rubbed on it.
It stayed put so I rubbed on it some more; as you can see on the photo there was some smudging but I am still very impressed because I used a lot of force. I don't think I would be rubbing my eyebrows that forcefully though so I am very happy with this eyebrow gel's staying power.
I did my laundry when I got home and washed my undies by hand. The swatches looked like this after. Very impressive!
As you may know, I moved to a condo unit closer to my workplace so I don't have to deal with traffic anymore. Here is how my eyebrows looked like after my 30 minute-walk to the mall adjacent my condo where I dropped by to grab dinner.
This is my officemate/ friend Jean with the Project Vanity x Ellana Cosmetics Life-Proof Eyebrow Gel in Red Brown.
All in all, I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to everyone who values great looking brows and dedicates time to making sure their brows are on fleek. My only wish is for a mini slanted eyebrow brush to have been included (at the bottom of the cap, maybe?) for on-the-go brow makeovers. Still, it's Php 499 well-spent considering how much some brow products with the same promises cost.
You may grab yours now from Project Vanity, Ellana, Shopee, and Lazada, and at select Ellana counters starting tomorrow. If you would rather see them in person first before purchasing, they will be available in all Ellana counters nationwide starting on December 10.
Happy brow life-proofing!
Hello, friends! It feels like I am inching my way through writing new posts for my blog but I am trying my best. I have lost a lot of readers (and blog comments) over the years and it's like no one ever reads blogs nowadays but this is still my preferred medium of expression. I may get too tired or preoccupied sometimes but krissyfied.com is here to stay. If you have either been a long-time reader of this blog or just happened to come across this post, thank you. ♡

It has 144 100gsm cream paper inside pages with a 13-monthly calendar from December 2018 to December 2019.
Look at all that space for stickers, watercolor, washi tapes, et cetera! *heart eyes emoji*
The dotted weekly pages are ideal for bullet journaling. It also has extra dotted pages at the end for jotting down more notes.
It is the perfect planner for those who like a simple, minimalist, no frills, no bells and whistles-type of layout. OR if you're the type who loves customizing your planners, this is also perfect because all those blank spaces offers so much room for possibilities!
Each 2019 Essentials Planner costs Php 300 and you may purchase them at local bookstores nationwide or online.
Now we go to the Essentials Notebooks.
The Essentials Notebook comes in three types: black cover, gray cover, and kraft cover, all with 144 100gsm cream paper inside pages.
The black cover has blank inside pages;
the gray cover has grid inside pages;
and the kraft cover has dotted inside pages.
This is perfect for people who keep on buying new notebooks just because. (Like me. Eep!) I am using the gray cover with grid inside pages for my business. :)
Each Essentials Notebook costs Php 220 and you may purchase them at local bookstores nationwide or online.

What could be worse than a Monday after a weekend of rest? Monday after an extra long weekend (read: five days) of rest. (Our company has a Work Anywhere Wednesdays policy so I have been home since Tuesday night.) And it's annoying because instead of enjoying my Sunday before the deluge of work comes again, here I am wasting my Sunday by dreading Monday. In a couple of hours, I would have to pack my bags, say goodbye to my family here in Valenzuela, and go back to Makati.
Nevertheless, since I am a cup half full person, I will try my best to forgo my separation anxiety from the long weekend and just be thankful I had this weekend to begin with.
For one, I am typing these words while my hair is in a shower cap, being nourished by coconut oil. And second, I was able to paint again. Hooray!
I have gone rusty and aam nowhere near my skill level from when I stopped two years ago (not to say I was even that good two years ago) but I am very happy to have been able to pick up my brushes and paint away again.
Don't you think this blueberry glazed donut looks too good to eat? Ughh I love beautiful colors so much.
We also got to watch Bohemian Rhapsody and IT'S SO GOOD! I wanted to stand up and sing along. What an experience! And Rami Malek did a great job bringing Freddie Mercury back to life, he deserves all the awards. Inspired acting, superb performances. I wish I can watch it again for the first time. Also, the movie made me miss Nate Ruess even more. He has been compared to Freddie Mercury a lot of times before and it makes sense because of the intensity and electricity he gives every performance. I wish he releases new music again.
Fortune favors the bold, as Jim Beach declares in the movie when Queen was presenting their ideas to a recording executive. And so I would like to announce into the Universe that I have finally taken the first [necessary] baby steps towards building my brand, Krissyfied Makes. We are opening very very soon and so I would like to invite you to follow us on Instagram and watch out for our first collection. I am really excited for this and I hope you can share my excitement, too.
As always, thank you for spending the time reading these words, and may fortune favor you, too.
