My officemates and my boyfriend always rib me about carrying the weight of the world in my shoulders all the time, and that's because I carry So. Much. Stuff. every day. It's like I have my daily non-negotiable essentials but when I see there's still space in my bag, I stuff it with other things I don't really have a need for. Well, you never know if you would suddenly need 30 washi tapes, 20 different colored pens, and 10 different shades of lipstick, right?

Last Thursday I attended the launch of Avon Fashions x Angel Locsin collection where Avon Philippines partnered with one of their stellar celebrity ambassadors to produce a collection of bags that are both stylish and practical. During the show I loved how each bag was shown to be worn and/ or carried in different ways, depending on when and where you bring it.


My initial impressions are that they look roomy and durable. Upon closer inspection, they are made of high quality materials and there's not a stitch out of place. Perfect for me and my carry-all lifestyle! After all, Avon commits to embrace design with a purpose and produce fashion pieces that enable women to achieve more than just impeccable style. This just another way that Avon Philippines empowers women the same way they have been doing for 40 years now.

I used these bags from Friday to today, Sunday, and I'd like to show you how they made my days easier!

FRIDAY featuring the ANGEL LOCSIN BACKPACK

Because I am me, for work days I usually carry my pink or mint backpack for my daily essentials and another tote bag for my extra paraphernalia and other thingamajigs like my planner, extra book (as if I don't have my Kindle Paperwhite with me AND as if I have time to read), pencil case, et cetera. I prefer bringing a backpack to work because I walk to and from the office and prefer to have my hands free and to distribute the weight equally and not have it concentrated on just one shoulder. Can you imagine how silly I look with my backpack and tote bag? LOL. With the Angel Locsin Backpack, I didn't have to bring an extra tote bag anymore because it has so much room!

We didn't have any plans today except for church, so I didn't have to bring a lot. Still, I appreciate how this bag looks like it cannot hold much, but that is actually not the case! I also love the Angel Locsin Sling Bag's happy and punchy color, inspired by Angel the Screen Icon.

Burned a hole in my wallet all over again. I told you I have the EQ of a pillow!

One of my regrets for this year is not joining planner communities in Facebook early enough to know about the Planner Soirée 2.0 held at the Shangri-La Plaza today. Still, that didn't stop me from trooping all the way there so I could check out the various planner paraphernalia and thingamajigs for sale!

It was a busy day and there were a lot of planner babes like me scurrying from one booth to another so I wasn't able to take as many photos as I wanted. Look at all these pretty, shiny, happy things!

I wish I had more time and money to look around and shop, but I am very happy with the loot I managed to secure for myself.

I came well-prepared with my Avon Fashions x Angel Locsin Everyday Bag (more details about this collection on my next post!) that considerably got heavier as the day wore on, heehee. As always, huge thanks to my boyfriend for supporting me with my many different hobbies and going with me to this [shopping] event!

I'd like to say that life is always breezy and dandy, but that is not the case, and it's most obvious on my skin. When hormones, stress, and dirt and pollution conspire to give me bad skin, I turn to my trusted favorites and also make room to experiment with new products.

J and I tried the Luxe Organix Bentonite Clay Indian Healing Clay last weekend, and here are my first impressions!


I love that each jar comes sealed. When I opened it, I was pleasantly surprised that it's almost filled to the brim with product! You're not paying for just air! ヽ(‘ ∇‘ )ノ


The instructions say to mix clay with equal parts of raw apple cider vinegar and/ or water. I used just water this time.

I figured five spoonfuls of clay and five spoonfuls of water should be enough for me and J. Important: please avoid using metal spoon and bowl for mixing as it might reduce clay’s effectiveness.


Stir the mixture well to a smooth paste. Add more clay or liquid as needed.



Smoothen mask about ¼ inch thick on face and other desired areas.


Let dry for 15 to 20 minutes for normal/ oily skin, and 5 to 10 minutes for sensitive skin. Warming and tightening sensation is expected.


Rinse liberally with warm water. Note: Slight redness of the skin is normal and will disappear in about 30 minutes.

The most immediate results we noticed are that our skin got brighter became less oily. I also felt like it cleaned my skin deeply without stripping it of its natural moisture. Unlike another clay mask I tried that turned hot on my skin, I loved how cool it felt, and I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't have any smell at all. 10/10 would make this a twice weekly routine, and 10/10 would recommend!

I'm looking forward to using apple cider vinegar next time if only I weren't too concerned about the scent. @_@

As you may know, ARC Public Relations was absorbed by MullenLowe Philippines as their PR arm, so we are now known as MullenLowe MARC. MullenLowe Philippines celebrated its 40th anniversary last night and I only have this to say: I have been working since 2007, been a PR girl since 2012, and due to the nature of my job, have gone to countless events since—but last night was the best company event I have attended so far!


We were asked to come in evening dresses with a kiss of red, and this is what I came up with.


I was supposed to wear a midi-length tulle skirt with my lace bodysuit, but wearing it under my ankle-length tulle skirt made it more billowy and princess-y, so I opted to do that instead. Added the lace gloves, and then my red lips purse as my literal kiss of red.


I put my hair up in a bun to show off my octopus (MullenLowe's logo) ear-cuff. I did my own makeup: clear skin lit from within, shades of red and gold eye shadow, and nude lips.

The party wouldn't have been as fun without my friends!









At around 10 PM I kicked off my studded heels and changed into my pink sneakers so I could dance freely without cringing in pain because of my shoes. It was so much fun! I helped look for the DJ and DJ Joey Santos really delivered! I wish I took more photos but I was enjoying too much, so most of the photos here are from Michelle. I danced and danced with my friends until my boyfriend picked me up, and then midnight came and I turned into a pumpkin. Heh.



It's been almost six months since I went back to work after my operation. It has been challenging most of the time, but I am genuinely enjoying every second of it. It's been awesome so far, and I am thankful.

He made his mark as the guy who weathered the most stressful situations—braving violent storms on live television, exploring the planet’s most dangerous places, offering political commentary, even venturing into film. If there’s one thing we know about Atom Araullo, it’s that he rises up to any challenge that comes his way.

I first met Atom in a #romanceclass event two years ago. Before this, he was one of my celebrity crushes (I mean, almost everyone I know from my age group has or had a crush on him) dating back to his 5 and Up stint. Heh. They say you shouldn't meet your idols so that you don't get disappointed, but with all his answers from the Q and A at that event, he totally exceeded my expectations! He is every bit as smart and charming as his TV persona—maybe even more so!

Fast forward to this year, when we actually worked on a project together! He was tapped as the newest endorser of Cherifer Premium, and ooh boy, what a perfect fit!


Because when is a commercial more than a commercial? When the entire shoot turns into a real-life stress test. This was the case in Cherifer Premium's latest ad, where they designed an office warrior obstacle course and challenged Atom to go through ALL the obstacles without the use of stunt doubles.



It took the team about four months to build the 500 square meter set from scratch—a far cry from the usual two to three weeks for most static sets. While they were building the monster set, Atom was busy preparing for his stunts by taking Cherifer Premium and undergoing a crash course in parkour from Robby Apelo, co-owner of The Ninja Academy. On top of learning stunts, he also went hard on leg exercises, bulking up his upper body, and doing plyometric drills.


Atom also shares that apart from the physical challenges, he likes the new commercial’s ambitious set design as well. He said it is a creative depiction of his workplace, with each part reinterpreted as parts of an obstacle course that would test his strength and strategic skills. All the moving parts of the set were operated manually, and extensive tests were conducted repeatedly to ensure that it remained safe yet challenging. Production designer Chet Garcia calls it one of her most demanding projects to date.


As is the case in TVC shoots, he was required to do each stunt several times over, testing his limits. But because he takes Cherifer Premium regularly, he doesn't get tired as easily.
