Sometimes, a romance book hits all the right spots, and you are left thinking about it even days after you finish reading it. Sometimes, you even make a makeup look dedicated to it.
Hello, friends, this FaceBookIt entry is inspired by Mina V. Esguerra’s new book, Better At Weddings Than You.
In this story, there’s a wedding to plan. The bride-to-be is in love with the wedding planner who coincidentally is a friend from way back. The groom-to-be fires aforementioned wedding planner and hires our main character to take over a month before the wedding. Instant attraction. Clothes are shed. What now?
You need to visit my post on Bookbed to read the complete entry, but I'm giving you a sneak peek by posting the photos here.
With the title itself and the number of weddings discussed in the book, I almost made a bridal makeup look but decided against it because I didn’t want to jinx my own wedding, HAH. Instead, I made a look inspired by wedding planner-extraordinaire Daphne Cardenas.
Something that can take her from a day wedding to an evening reception—one with earthy colors, subtle and understated. Nothing too flashy nor sparkly; just the right amount of shimmer where the light hits the face and contouring where the shadows fall. (After all, she wouldn’t want to steal attention from the bride!)
Visit this page to read the complete post with my thoughts on the book (and the hot Love Interest) as well as a complete description of the products I used. Clickity-click! ♥

“It’s wasn’t a nine-to-five desk job, but she carried the weight of a client’s hopes and dreams all the time.”As such, I imagine her wearing simple and fuss-free makeup that can be done in less than 15 minutes.
