Review: Maybelline Loaded Bolds by Color Sensational

Are you ready for the MOST LOADED and BOLDEST lipstick collection to come from a drugstore brand yet? I SURE AM! Ohmygolly goodness, color me excited because I will be sharing swatches of the new Maybelline Loaded Bolds in this post!

I've never been one to shy away from bold lip colors, but I never thought I'd see the day I'd try on unconventional lipsticks. Well, spoiler alert! I TRIED BLACK LIPSTICK ON AND I LIKED IT. ♥

Maybelline recognizes that it takes guts to flaunt some of the boldest beauty looks that come out of the runway but with the launch of their latest lipstick collection, I'm positive every girl will surely go for the boldest shade. Think black and blue, the Loaded Bolds by Color Sensational truly boasts bold and edgy shades that we only see in the catwalk. Audacious Blue

Audacious Blue is an electrifying blue that can never look boring even if it tried! I can't wait for the day we can wear colors like this on a regular basis because can imagine myself pairing it with a denim on denim outfit. HAH.

Berry Bossy

Berry Bossy is a beautiful berry red that's flattering for all skin tones. This is one of my favorite shades in this collection. I find myself reaching out for it when I want to look effortlessly pretty.

Chocoholic

Chocoholic is the Loaded Bolds' answer to the '90s throwback that's still the rage these days. It's a gorgeous brown that aims to get noticed.

Dynamite Red

Dynamite Red is a fiery red. It's not really my favorite red in this collection but it reminded me of Taylor Swift for some reason.

Fearless Purple

Fearless Purple is another favorite. It's a nice alternative to my Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick in Vibrant Violet that melted.

Fierce Fuchsia

Fierce Fuchsia actually looks fiercer and brighter in person. It's a loud and proud pink and every girl should have it in her lipstick stash.

Midnight Date

Midnight Date is a nice vampy and sophisticated red. I've been using it on my meetings for the last two days.

Pitch Black

Pitch Black is a great black lipstick that applies well and doesn't look streaky. I LOVE IT SO MUCH AND I'M TYPING IN ALL CAPS TO DRIVE MY POINT ACROSS MORE CLEARLY. I'm planning to wear it out more often.

Raspberry Rendezvous

Raspberry Rendezvous is a fabulous berry pink that's more wearable than Fierce Fuchsia if you don't like neon pinks that much.

Smoking Red

Smoking Red is my favorite red in this collection. Red lipsticks instantly make me feel sexy but this red just makes me feel more alluring. I love love love this red.

Sunny Coral

Sunny Coral is a red orange that's perfect for summer. I think it'll be my shade for this coming extra-long weekend.

Wickedly White

Oh Wickedly White, I tried so hard to love you but I can't get over how difficult it was to make sure the color applies evenly. A lip liner would've helped but I didn't have one during my swatch party. Either way, this would be a great base lipstick for those who have pigmented lips. I also like that we can turn to Maybelline for options when we need lipsticks that are out of our ordinary pinks, reds, and nudes.

Indeed, these are Maybelline's most pigmented mattes to date. I couldn't believe how intense the color payoff I got was with just a single swipe! As with all other Maybelline lipsticks released recently, I'm a fan of its creamy texture and high pigmentation that don't leave my lips feeling parched! Staying power is greater than average, too!

I wish I could've attended the launch event that happened a day before my birthday, but I was too busy tying loose ends in the office before I left for my two week-vacation. The launch showcased a fashion show with special guests Maureen Wroblewitz and Jennica Sanchez from Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5. where both contenders also shared their experience being in the top model reality show with the audience. Looking forward to attending the next event with my fellow Maybelline Squad members!

The Loaded Bolds collection will be available at Maybelline counters starting May 2017 for only P299. Seriously, you guys, that's way too cheap for the quality and formulation of these lipsticks! I'm actually willing to pay more for these! Thank you for making prettifying ourselves easier on our pockets, Maybelline!
