When I read about BB Cushions from Korean beauty brands, I instantly wanted to try but found the price off-putting. Seeing Maybelline Super BB Cushion - their BB Cushion version of their instant cult favorite (also one of my favorites) Super BB Cream - made me so excited to get my paws on it stat!
The new Maybelline Super BB Cushion promises radiance from morning to night in just a tap tap.
The Maybelline Super BB Cushion is housed in a nondescript compact perfect for working yuppies like me. I bring it in my bag every day so I can attest to its durability.
I'm not sure how many shades are available but I got 03 Natural.
I like that the mirror covers the compact completely. More space to see your face with, yes? ^_^ I also like that there's a cover separating the sponge from the BB Cushion itself for hygienic purposes.
And that's what it looks like. Yup, it's your favorite Maybelline Super BB Cream thinned out to a watery consistency, poured into a compact, and topped with a sponge. Every time you press down on the "cushion" with the makeup sponge, the liquid formula is released.
So how does it fare?
The new Super BB Cushion offers eight (8) benefits with just a tap tap: (1) Radiant skin, (2) Perfect poreless skin, (3) Intense moisture, (4) High coverage, (5) Even skin tone, (6) Zero stickiness, (7) Lasting coverage, and (8) SPF 29PA+++. Created to give that poreless, perfect skin for a polished daytime look, Super BB Cushion is enriched with pure mineral pigments and keeps skin moisturized.
That's a pretty tall order for a drugstore product but you know what, it delivers! With the combined formula of the Super BB Cream and the "magical" sponge, the Super BB Cushion indeed evens out my skin tone, gives it a dewy appearance, and lasts the whole day! Maybe my current skin care also helps, but my officemates compliment me a lot more when I use this. It has now become a staple in my makeup kit and I will definitely repurchase!
By the way, you can wear it as it is or as makeup base. It also lasts long whether you set it with powder or not, but I do set it with my Maybelline White Superfresh Powder due to force of habit.
