Review: Maybelline Rosy Matte by Color Sensational

It's time for nudes to steal the show. Maybelline unveils its newest lip collection, Rosy Matte by Color Sensational, and I'm sharing my review and swatches with you!

Runways and red carpets are rife with these mattes and nudes, and it's awesome that Maybelline made it easier (and more affordable!) for us to hop on this trend train. Think MLBBs, soft pinks, peaches, and beiges, and you've got the makings of the Rosy Matte mood board. ♥

Sweet dreams are made of this. I mean, sure, I love bright colors on my lips, but I wouldn't say no to "tamer" shades, especially when I'm feeling dainty or girlier than usual. SPOILER ALERT: I loved all of them because they are all flattering, pretty, and practical to wear.

Apricot Beige is a warm peachy pink that looks so flattering on me. I love how it makes my blush look more pronounced yet natural. It reminded me of L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in Barely Coral although that one is more brown.

Natural Beige is a light beige-y brown. It's the shade that appeared the lightest on my pigmented lips. It reminded me of a watered down mocha cake.

Among all the colors in this collection, Rosy Peach is my favorite because it's the lipstick that made me feel the prettiest ♥ It's a muted My Lips But Better (And Rosier).

Salmon Pink is a soft petal pink that has a teeny tiny hint of salmon in there. This is the shade a makeup artist recommended I wear when I attended an important event.

Soft Pink is a baby pink that reminded me of Hello Kitty and Little Twin Stars. It looked more opaque on my hand swatch than it did on my lips.

All women should have a go-to lipstick from every color family: reds, pinks, and nudes. I do think that it will be easy for you to find your go-to nude when you check out the Maybelline Rosy Matte line. These are perfect with smokey eyes for dressy events or with groomed eyebrows, a light blush, and a coat of mascara for a clean and sexy everyday look.

What I love about these lipsticks is that I don't look sickly or washed out even when they venture on the pale end of the spectrum. The Rosy Mattes also boast of Maybelline's high pigmentation, lasting power, hydrating, and light-weight features in just one swipe. I suggest that you swipe at least three times for you to be able to fully appreciate each shade, though. Kudos to Maybelline for consistently providing us with Color Sensational lines that are fully suitable even to the most curated and meticulous makeup kits.
