Dear carpool-mates, you got me. You got me real good.
It was an elaborate ploy that involved me, milk tea, and Mary Jay.
After work, Chum told me she'll treat me to Bubblicitiea in Malabon as she recently got her bonus. Since she and our other carpool-mates have been raving about the food there, I went with her. While eating penne, chicken 'n chips, and choco-peppermint, I was already starting to worry because I still needed to do some last-minute preparations for my party tomorrow. After eating, she said we should pass by the adjacent Mary Jay so we can hitch a ride with her aunts.
As I entered Mary Jay, everyone started singing the birthday song! It turns out Ralph, Ate Sheila, Ate Ahyen, and Ate Annie have been waiting there all along! Mike also followed, and I was so happy because we haven't had the chance to eat breakfast together for so long! They then gave me their sweet messages and gave me cupcakes with photos of the How I Met Your Mother cast, with me substituting the Mother.. Look!
