When I first shared with you guys how I have finally decided to quit my relatively easy yet high-paying job in order to pursue something closer to my interests and skills, I told you how scared I was and how I hoped it would be one of the best mistakes I will ever make.

A year after, I cannot tell you how glad I am to be reporting back to you about how happy I am with the choice I made. I still get blown away every time I think of how I got here, really. It took not just a leap of faith ― it also took a LOT of self-doubt, prayers, and assurances from family and friends that everything will be okay.

Sometimes your only available transportation is a leap of faith.

What kept me from taking the leap before was my fear of losing my friends from my old office. Now I don't get to see them that much anymore, but I know that no matter the distance and circumstance, we're still friends and I am keeping them in my heart as I know they are keeping me in theirs. I guess when you have built such a strong foundation for your friendships, then you really don't have anything to worry about.

A year from now, you will wish you have started today.
