No matter how bad my day gets, I still try to find something to celebrate — no matter how slight, no matter how minute — so that I can end the day on a good note. I find that there are better chances of waking up on the right side of the bed the next morning that way.
Today, I have a special reason to celebrate. Today marks my fourth month as a Social Media Marketer for Outsmark, ARC PR's digital arm. It has been four months since I took the plunge, and every day I feel thankful that I did it. Not to say that I don't miss the company I worked for previously as well as my former officemates, but taking this new job couldn't have come at a better time. Sure, I earned more before, but I feel more fulfilled in my current job as I feel that my knowledge and skills are more suited for this.
I actually almost forgot as I was busy all morning helping out with deliveries of press gifts. I only noticed the date when I wrote it down on my notebook, preparing to take down notes on my boss Jenny's meeting with a (hopefully crossing my fingers) future client. It was my first time to go on a presentation like that wherein she discussed who we are, what we do, and what we have done, and I was floored by how completely 'in the zone' she was. If anything, the presentation showed how passionate she is at what she does, and for someone like me who tend to shy away from speaking out my mind and write about it instead, it was really inspiring to see.
In the meeting, she said something that struck me the most, I had to note it down so I could write it in my planner to serve as an 'encouragement' a la The Fault in Our Stars:
If you follow where your passion leads, life becomes relatively easier. My current reality is proof, and I'm grateful to be given the opportunity to practice this.
I couldn't stress enough that I'm happy to work with dynamic, passionate, energetic, smart individuals who work hard and play hard. I love our conversations that can range from the most mundane things to more serious matters. We also love tweeting links to interesting articles and cute Youtube videos ha ha. Would you like to work with us? We are a growing family and we need graphic artists and copywriters! Please send resumes to info(at)arcarpopr.com :)
What about you, what moves your heart?
PS: Chandeliers, cheesecakes and charm bracelets make me happy. In partnership with Ayala Malls I am giving away Ana Rocha limited edition charm bracelets to 12 people, just click here to join!

ahhh... I've yet to experience the real deal with career... it kinda scares me, but at the same time excites me.. >___< I wonder if I can join you as a graphic designer but I'm not sure if companies will accept foreign employee... (and I don't even know how to speak tagalog *sobs*) I mean... I've always wanted to work outside Indonesia... oh well, should I just apply? hehe... ;p
ReplyDeleteby the way, what moves my heart? I guess it's obvious already, it's art, whatever kind of it but mostly visual art, cute kind of visual art (because most of the time I still can't understand contemporary art, lol). I guess the kid in me is staying in my heart despite the many birthdays I've gone through, I've always wanted to make a storybook for children, with the story I made up myself and illustration I draw, oh well...
The more often I sit down to write essays, the less I like to spend time on them, which is why I found this site essayusa.com where there are specialists, because it is an essay writing service to get top marks
