Hush Puppies: The Body Shoe launch with Phil Younghusband

Ana and I were invited to attend the opening of Hush Puppies' newest branch in Newport Mall, Resorts World Manila held yesterday.

The event also introduced the brand's newest ambassador, Phil Younghusband. Phil is an English - Filipino footballer who plays for the Philippine national football team more commonly referred to nowadays as the Azkals. I really think Hush Puppies has made an excellent decision to choose him to represent the brand because he is an excellent role model for the youth, what with the achievements he has gotten in his field, as well as his discipline and sense of responsibility as an athlete.

His brother James Younghusband was also there to lend support. James is also a player for the Azkals.

TOO MUCH HOTNESS IN ONE AFTERNOON LOL! The ultra-gorgeous Phoemela Barranda also graced the event with her stunning presence.

Ana and I had fun ogling at the shoes and bags inside the store. What I loved about Hush Puppies is the wide array of designs available. I personally do not wear "too sporty" shoes, but I won't be out of place there because of the various wedges and ballerina flats to choose from. We even chose our top three choices. I picked:

After the event, Ana and I went to Glorietta for dinner. It was hard not to be hungry because of the long walk we did and all the stories we shared in between!

Flare, my first Hush Puppies pair ♥

Earlier today I went to their branch in SM North EDSA - The Block for this.

Admittedly it's not really a style I would normally wear, but it's really pretty don't you think? Besides there's nothing wrong with going out of your comfort zone every once in a while. I tried it on and it's very comfortable, very lightweight. It looks very durable and I know it will last me a long time. The red and gold metallic material contrast each other really nicely. I can't wait to wear it for a mini party we'll  have next week :)
